MANANALAM... PART III (FINAL)

The line was I AM ALWAYS WITH YOU... It doesn’t sound much when we hear this. But this single line had made him to behave very strange. He says, “When I read this line in her letter I dint see her lying dead in front of me. She was standing in front of me, asking me “what happened in college my son. Has your paper been selected in conference?” I said yes and hugged her. She was really happy. I laughed and said my mom, “See these fools mom, they are thinking that you are dead and crying here. Tell them that you are alive and ask them to go out. They are irritating me.”

He stops here and says, “Honourable chief guest, Please I want my mother on this stage to share this happiness with me now. I want to introduce her to all”.  Chief Guest was shocked and gazed at him. He laughs and says, “Sir, the one who is sitting behind your seat is my mom”. Everyone turned towards the seat and finds it EMPTY.

Not only the chief guest but the entire hall was utterly shocked. They were dumbstruck. They were really confused. He smiles at everyone and says, “This is my lovable mom. She came out from death all the way to make me happy. Do any one of you have such a mother? (He pretends as if he is hugging his mom and fall at her feet) “.

Chief Guest informs about his strange behaviour to the security cops and asks them to take him away and make him have a medical check-up. He was forcefully arrested and cleared from the stage. He was asked to attend counselling. Within a fraction of seconds, everything changed. The stage which made him feel proud and gave him the best presentation award in the midst of students from different part of the world who presented their paper was filled with our hero’s papers shattered all over the floor. The hall in which lot of new innovations and knowledge was blooming out was filled with strange feel.

He was sitting in front of a psychiatrist. He asked him some questions about him. He answered all with a polite smile in his face. After some time doctor asked him some questions about his education, college and other details. He answered everything without any strange behaviour. Doctor was really confused. He then asked a question about his family members. His face changed a lot. His speech had a different tone. Doctor was able to find his problem when he did actions as if his mother was standing with him. He cried to his mom, “Mummy please let us go out of this place. These people are not good. They are threatening me. They are saying that you are dead. Please tell him that you are alive. You said that you are always with me. But this idiotic guy is telling that you cannot stay with me. (His voice rises… He shouts at the doctor) you are talking nonsense see my mom, she is standing beside me. Can’t you see her? Can’t you see her?????? (He faints).

He was admitted in hospital as he was confirmed to have mental problem. His problem is that his heart and mind is not ready to accept that his mom is dead.

My question is, “Is he really mentally affected by his mother’s death?”

When you are far away from all your friends and family and when you are in distress you tell it to your loved ones. What would they say.....?  They would really say this..." god is always with you...don’t worry...” and if u tell more they would definitely say...” hey I am there with you always. Why worrying...?” We console ourselves thinking imagining that god and our loved ones are being with us and many would say that is the most practical n intelligent thing to do when we are in most distressed state. But why are we telling it as insane when our hero does the same in our story...? It is right if we do it with conscience but wrong if sum one imagines it without their conscience though both the intention is one and the same. Funny world..!!! This is our people’s MANANALAM…

MANANALAM... PART 2.

After completing all the formalities they buried his mom’s corpse. Not even a single drop of tear fell from his eyes. All relatives of him were shocked to see him sitting normal without any point of sadness or depress. Everyone thought that he became mentally ill by the shock of his mom’s death.

One month later, in abroad, sitting in most prestigious International conference in which he had been selected. He was entirely happy and nervous waiting for his turn to present. His turn came, he stood up went on to the stage and he started his magic. All were really astonished to see such a bold and confident student who presented in front of experts in different fields all over the world. After his presentation everyone gave him a standing applause not only for his paper but also for his boldness and confidence.

It was the time for the announcement of the result. He got the 1st Prize as expected by everyone in the hall. He was asked to speak few words about the conference and his experience in being a part of it and share his experience all the way to take part in this competition. He started like this “A warm welcome to all the experts of different fields from all over the world. This day is the most important day in my life. In my game of life this day was my goal. I achieved this prize not only because of hard work but also because of my mom. My mother wanted me to take part in this conference. I did it, but when I went to tell her that I have fulfilled her wish, she closed her eyes. She closed it very tight that no one in this world can open again. Yes, she is no more. “

After this line entire hall was still and mum and was looking very strange and started thinking, “How is it possible for a person to take one’s death that easy? I think he is mentally very strong. “.

He continues, “Once I saw her dead, my eyes became dark, I was not able to see anything around me except those days I was with my mom. I thought, I laughed a lot and enjoyed a lot, so god decided that I had enough of joy and so gave me deep sorrow now which is not that easy to carry like I carried joy. I went near my mom and found a small piece of paper under her pillow. There was only one line written by my mom in her last few minutes of her life. She wrote it to me. She always used to think about me during her lifetime and she did that even in her last few minutes. (He laughs, thinking how funny my mom was? But after few seconds a single drop came out of his left eye. He wiped it fast and continues.). That single line in my mom’s letter changed my heart a lot. I never cried even when my mom was laying in front of me, dead. It showed me how I should live my rest of life. From that day I never laughed, never cried, never felt worried, never felt happy, nothing. My life was only that line and nothing else. Whenever I lose my hope, I think of that line. Whenever I lose my confidence, I think of that line.”

Everyone in the hall felt very different and started thinking about that line. What line it would be? A line has changed a human’s life upside down what line it would be? It has changed his mental strength a lot, what line it would be?

MANANALAM... PART 1.

He marked this day as most important unforgettable day in his life. This day changed his life upside down. He is our hero as well. He laughed a lot and so now others started laughing at him. He achieved a lot and so god made him impossible to do anything now. He loved a lot and so others showed him the taste of hate.

He was the most intelligent student no one has ever met in college life. He got best student award for all three years. (---Do you think creating a character with lot of positive points is funny and not realistic? He is our hero, he has to get something different from others that’s story ethic---).

Even though his academic book is written with success and achievements, his family book is still written with darkness and sadness. He lost his father when he was very young even before he joins school. Each and every one of us has our own world in which we give place to people like father, mother, siblings, friends, love, relations, etc., but if you look his world there is only one character which rules his entire world with lots of love and affection. That is his mother and no one else.

He very easily tasted the sweetness of success in three years. But he was not happy with all those things. He wanted to get himself placed in book of winners of a most prestigious International conference in which students can participate and win prizes. He applied for that conference and today is the announcement of list of papers which are selected in that conference.

He was waiting for the result, but he never knew what is going to happen in next three hours of his life and of course no one in this world knows what is going to happen in next second of our life.

Results are published. His paper has been selected and he has been invited to take part in conference after a month. Will you people thinks your life has been fulfilled if the only thing you wanted in your entire life is in your hands? And of course he felt the same, but he is not fulfilled yet. He wanted his mother to come along with him to attend conference. He went home. All his relatives have come. All his neighbours have come. He thought, “Oh my god, this principal is a fool. He told my mom everything and now I can’t give her a token of surprise”. But when he enters his house, His eyes went dark; he can’t believe what is happening around him. Everyone is looking him strange. His relatives hugged him with tears and said, “You are the unlucky person in the world…!”, He came to know that his mom died that day afternoon at the same time when he was in college jumping in peek of joy for being selected for conference.
